After medical school, he completed an internship in general surgery followed by a diagnostic radiology residency. He is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology. After his residency he completed a fellowship in Vascular Interventional Radiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. The Cleveland Clinic has one of the largest experiences in the country with certain advance interventional radiology procedures. Dr. Morar is married and has two children. His wife is a native of the area having been raised in Cincinnati and also attended University of Cincinnati where they met. With a strong family network and a budding ambition for entrepreneurship, Dr. Morar decided that he wanted to be in private practice early on. Dr. Morar wanted to have the flexibility and control over his procedures and treatment plans provided to patients. He knew that he could only provide this cutting edge, minimally invasive technology within his own practice. This lead Dr. Morar to cofound his practice named Dayton Interventional Radiology. His dream of living, and working in the Dayton community was realized in 2005. His goal with his partner, Dr. Syed, is to create an awareness program so that patients have options for minimally invasive treatments. Dr. Morar believes that educating the patient and providing options makes for great medicine for the patients and more successful out comes for the provider.
Currently, in addition to his private practice, he is on staff at Good Samaritan Hospital and the former Dayton Heart Hospital where he performs his more involved invasive procedures. He has published several papers on the topics of CT guided percutaneous procedures, arterial embolization procedures, uterine fibroid embolization procedure, and the vertebroplasty procedure. His intent and focus is to bring innovative minimally invasive procedures to the Dayton community as a whole. Many of the procedures that are offered by Dayton Interventional Radiology are unknown to many physicians and patients around the country. Along with his skill set for cutting edge procedures, Dr. Morar is an active member of the physician community locally, speaking and presenting at numerous events, being a member of the medical societies, and spearheading many of the efforts to educate the patient. Dr. Morar actively manages the practices websites, participates in Lunch and Learn programs, and lectures to support staff at physician offices hoping to create dialogue among patients and physicians.
Whether its working in Dayton, playing ball with his sons in Dayton, or educating the physician and patient community in Dayton, Dr. Morar’s passion for the work he does has flourished exponentially due to his commitment and dedication for the people in his life.
